A book about unexpected love and ultimate forgiveness.
This is the second book that I have read by Jodi Picoult. When I first read the synopsis on the cover of the book I knew I had to read it. It had reeled me in already and I got way more than I was expecting! It deals with such issues as infertility, gay rights, parenthood, and religious beliefs.
After being married for 10 years and dealing with heartbreaking infertility two of the main characters divorced and then they each fall in love to some very unexpected people. I love how Picoult takes you through through so many twists and turns although I thought that many of the outcomes were predictable.
While I may not totally agree with the opinions and events that happened in the book I did walk away from it feeling like I had done a little soul searching as well as learned a little something. I have realized, in just the two books that I have read from Picoult, that she researches her books very well. I love that she includes real places and real events that happened around the time that she wrote the book.

I just read this book not that long ago myself. I can't resist a Jodi Picoult book, it was a great book. I love how she sucks you in and leaves you feeling stunned. Have you read the Emily Giffin books? (Completely different writing styles but great books as well)

I really did like this one! Of course you know I love all of her books! I didn't agree with some of the things in the book on a personal level, but I was REALLY happy with the way it ended. It was exactly what I was hoping for and the only time I have predicted the end of one of her books!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the review. Sounds like a good read.
